PHOENIX -- The Arizona Cardinals have signed two-time Pro Bowl safety Adrian Wilson to a new five-year contract that runs through the 2013 season. Patriots Super Bowl Jersey . Terms of the deal werent disclosed. Wilson is the hard-hitting leader of the Cardinals defence and was a Pro Bowl selection in the 2006 and 2008 seasons. His old contract was due to expire after the coming season, and re-signing him was the Cardinals top off-season priority. The 29-year-old, entering his ninth NFL season, has 18 career interceptions and 18 1/2 sacks. Only eight players in NFL history have at least 20 interceptions and 20 sacks. Next on Arizonas list is a long-term deal for linebacker Karlos Dansby, who has been designated the teams franchise player for the second year in a row. Once that happens, Cardinals general manager Rod Graves has said he will turn his attention to trying to work out a new deal with disgruntled Pro Bowl wide receiver Anquan Boldin. Boldin, who has asked to be traded, recently fired agent Drew Rosenhaus. While the NFL Players Association said Thursday that Boldin had not officially hired a replacement, Graves said he already has talked with agent Tom Condon about Boldin, indicating Condon would be the receivers new agent. In 2006, Wilson became the first defensive player in NFL history with two touchdown plays of at least 99 yards in the same season, one on an interception and another on a fumble return. Wilson has been with the Cardinals longer than any other player on their roster, experiencing some rough years of losing before the teams unexpected run to the Super Bowl last season. Arizona drafted him out of North Carolina State in the third round in 2001. He signed a five-year deal with the team in 2005. Along with his interceptions and sacks, Wilson has 651 career tackles, 481 of them solos, along with 63 pass deflections, 10 forced fumbles and seven fumble recoveries. A fierce pass rusher, he knocked Buffalo quarterback Trent Edwards out of the game with a concussion on the third play of Arizonas 41-17 victory over the Bills last Oct. 5. He has played in 118 games, starting 110. Last season, Wilson had 85 tackles, 2 1/2 sacks and two interceptions. In the teams four playoff games last season, the had 20 tackles and two forced fumbles. Authentic Ray Rice Jersey . The sports top two stars were ousted after entering the tournament with questions about their fitness. Nadal was coming back from 10 weeks off to treat tendinitis in both knees, and Federer took time off while his wife gave birth to twins. Down 5-1 in the third set, Tsonga used two service breaks to take the lead and then beat the Swiss ace in the tiebreaker for a 7-6 (5), 1-6, 7-6 (3) quarter-final victory. After several long, crowd-pleasing exchanges in a first set decided in a tiebreaker, Del Potro broke Nadals service twice for a 3-0 lead in the second for a 7-6 (5), 6-1 win. Nadal was the defending Rogers Cup champion. Nadal was pleased that his knees held up and left encouraged that he is on his way back to top form. "After two months out of competition its tough to play at that level -- I needed to concentrate more than usual," said Nadal. "The knees were very good. "I have to be happy with the tournament. (Del Potro) is playing very well and I was at the same level as him in the first set. I thought if I could win the first set I could relax a little in the second and try again in the third, but it was tough." Asked if he would be back in top shape for the U.S. Open that starts Aug. 31, he said "well see." Del Potro advanced to a semifinal meeting with Andy Roddick, who he beat in the final of a tournament in Washington only last Sunday. Tsonga will face third-seeded Andy Murray, who has a chance to pass Nadal for the No. 2 world ranking. "I did not feel real good -- 5-1 down and Roger playing well and I had no solutions," said the seventh-seeded Tsonga, who played through a sore right arm. "I just told myself you have to hit the ball one more time than him and I did it. "Its a good thing for me. Its amazing to change this match." Federer looked to be coasting to the victory when his serve deserted him just as Tsonga seemed to rediscover his own, and the sellout crowd of 11,490 at centre court was on the edge of its seats as Frances top player battled back for the unlikely victory. "Its obviously disappointing but you know, thats what Jo does -- he doesnt make a return for an hour and then he puts in a few and than all of a sudden hes back in the match," said Federer. "I should never have allowed it but it happened, so its a pity." Federer forced a final tiebreaker, but Tsonga used two aces to take the lead and then saw the top seed double-fault on match point. "Its a tough match to go through because it was either very close or very one-sided," Federer said. "That doesnt make it easy on the rhythm, obviously." Federer saw his 21-match winning streak ended, which included tournament wins at Madrid, the French Open and Wimbledon, where he claimed a record 15th careerr grand slam title. Rob Gronkowski Jersey. There were doubts about his form coming into the Rogers Cup, but the 28-year-old looked sharp until the end of the third set, when his game went to pieces. But overall, he wasnt displeased with the three matches he got in at the Rogers Cup. "Its great to get some matches in ahead of Cincinnati (next week) and the U.S. Open," he said. "But my goal wasnt to just to play matches and do press conferences. "The whole trip here was to do well and try to win the tournament." A year ago in Toronto, Federer came in after a post-Wimbledon break and was beaten in the first round by Frenchman Gilles Simon. He won the tournament in 2004 and 2006 and lost in the final in 2007. Fifth-seeded Andy Roddick recovered from a second-set service break to advance with a 6-4, 7-6 (4) victory over fourth-seeded Novak Djokovic. It was Roddicks third win this year over the Serb. He is 4-for-4 in the tournament in tiebreakers and leads the ATP Tour with 33 tiebreaker wins. "Its been important for me my entire career," said Roddick, the 2003 Rogers Cup champion who has one of the hardest serves on tour. "Im starting to break serve a lot more now, but I certainly grew accustomed to playing a lot of tiebreakers early on. Im comfortable playing them, and normally I can count on getting a couple of points on my serve." Roddick is looking to reach a third straight final, after losing to Federer in a five-set thriller at Wimbledon and the loss in Washington. Murray ended Nikolay Davydenkos 12-match winning run with a 6-2, 6-4 victory. Davydenko, seeded eighth, came into the tournament following wins at Hamburg and Umag. "It will be difficult because Andy is one of the best players this last month," said Tsonga. "I know I have to play my game, stay on the offensive and see what happens. "I know I have a chance and I will take it." Murray saw his string of service games won end at 19 when Davydenko broke him in the fifth game of the first set, but he has still yet to drop a set in the tournament. "Every time Ive played against him, you never feel like youre playing your best tennis because he takes the ball so early," said Murray of Davydenko. "He rushes you. "Pretty much every rally, he plays very aggressively. But I had my game plan and I did it really, really well in terms of the way I struck the ball." It is Murrays third trip to the Rogers Cup semifinals. Last year in Toronto, he lost to eventual champion Rafael Nadal. He was also in the semis in 2006. It is the first time that the eight top-ranked players in the world have played in the quarter-finals of a tournament since the ATP world rankings debuted in 1973. In doubles play, fears that an elbow injury would prevent Daniel Nestor of Toronto from trying to repeat as champion were allayed as he and partner Nenad Zimonjic downed Wesley Moodie and Dick Norman 6-2, 6-4 in the quarter-finals. They next face Nestors former partner Mark Knowles and Mahesh Bhupathi. ' ' '
