(Doorbell rings) Oakland Raiders fan answers his door. RAIDERS FAN: Yes? JOHN HERRERA: Oh hi! My name is John Herrera and Im a Senior Executive with the Oakland Raiders. RAIDERS FAN: I know who you are John. What do you want? JOHN HERRERA: Well, Im here to drop off your season tickets! RAIDERS FAN: Oh great. JOHN HERRERA: Yeah it was brought to my attention that youve been a season ticket holder since we moved back to the Bay Area from Los Angeles. Yet were about to enter Week 3 of the season and you still havent picked up your tickets yet. When we tried to send them to you they were returned... unopened. RAIDERS FAN: Thats right JOHN HERRERA: Are you sure there wasnt some sort of mistake? RAIDERS FAN: No mistake. I just dont want to go anymore JOHN HERRERA: Dare I ask why? Its not me is it? RAIDERS FAN: Well... I dont blame you personally John because youre just a shill for the crazy old Gandalf who owns my team. JOHN HERRERA: Whoa! Mr. Davis has done a lot for people in need! RAIDERS FAN: Really? Is that what he was doing when he gave Javon Walker $55 million? JOHN HERRERA: Listen, we really think this team is moving in a new direction RAIDERS FAN: New direction huh? Hey... let me ask you John. Have you spent any time talking to San Jose Mercury News reporter Tim Kawakami lately? JOHN HERRERA: Um.... RAIDERS FAN: Because Im pretty sure I saw you berating him in front of Lane Kiffin and a room full of reporters at Kiffins press conference on Monday. JOHN HERRERA: Wow, look at the time! I should probably get going... RAIDERS FAN: In fact, I believe you called him a liar and said you would "love to" hit him because he exposed you for what you, and every Raider employee is: A shill for a madman. JOHN HERRERA: Is that my phone? (Herrera imitates ringing sound) Whoa! Gotta take a call... RAIDERS FAN: My favourite part was when Kawakami told you that you were welcome to sue him! You know what that means John? It means he knows he is absolutely 100 percentt right and you are absolutely 100 percent wrong. Hakeem Nicks Jersey. . I mean, bad enough that you handed out an ESPN.com article that was critical of your own head coach to various Raider beat reporters on behalf of Davis in a misguided effort to get the press on board with a Kiffin firing. Kawakami wrote about it but had the courtesy to keep your name out of it. But then, rather than just keep quiet about it and go about your business, you actually call attention to the situation by trying to make Kawakami look bad in front of his peers. How did it feel, John, when Kawakami remained completely calm while you screamed at him? I loved his line warning you about the consequences of laying a hand on him in front of TV cameras and about 40 witnesses: "Id love to own a piece of this franchise too John" Ha! Classic! Im going to have to read Kawakamis stuff more often. JOHN HERRERA: So... should I just leave these tickets with you... or... RAIDERS FAN: And heres the best part: This team actually makes The Detroit Lions look like a healthy, successful franchise! Do you realize how hard that is to do? We are still the laughingstock of the entire league! I try to put on my Silver and Black Road Warrior gear on Sunday and I just cant do it. I cant walk into that stadium anymore and try to pretend that we are the most intimidating fans of the most intimidating franchise in the NFL. You know what I actually thought to myself last Sunday? JOHN HERRERA: That JaMarcus Russell might not be a bust after all? RAIDERS FAN: No John. I WISHED I WAS A BILLS FAN. Thats how bad things have become for me, a fan of the Oakland Raiders. I cant take it anymore. So I wont be going to those games. Id rather watch "Meet The Press" JOHN HERRERA: Brokaw really has been great filling in for the late Tim Russert. RAIDERS FAN: Amen. Have a great day John. Try not to get yourself sued. JOHN HERRERA: Good stuff! Go Raiders! Fan slams door in Herreras face. JOHN HERRERA: Okay! Were making progress! This one answered the door! ' ' '
